Terms and Conditions

1.   By booking a course with First 2 Act it is assumed you accept the terms and conditions.

2.  Bookings can be made by telephone and email.  An organisation booking a group course will be issued an invoice and payment must be made in full 10 days prior to the course start date unless otherwise agreed.   

3.  In the event of a cancellation by First 2 Act we will endeavour to rearrange a mutually convenient date if possible.  First 2 Act reserves the right to cancel the dates or alter services however will give as much notice as possible.

4.  Once the confirmation and joining instructions have been sent, your booking is firm and confirmed therefore subject to terms and conditions. Cancellation of confirmed bookings by clients will encounter the following fees:

• More than 10 days’ notice - full refund.

• 7 – 10 days’ notice - 50% refund.

• Less than 7 days’ notice – no refund.

5.   Transfer of a booking to an alternate date will be as business allows and every effort will be made to        transfer the booking to another suitable date.

6.   Any delegate failing to attend the course without notice or absent from any session then the full course fee remains payable. Attendance to all sessions is mandatory to gain certification to conform with the requirement of certification.

7.   Due to the physical demands of courses (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)) and using Automated External Defibrillator (AED)) employers and candidates are responsible to ensure they are free from any ailment, medical or physical condition or injury that may affect their capability to perform these essential practical aspects the course enabling them to demonstrate their ability to give first aid in an emergency situation.  Please inform First 2 Act of any candidate who has a disability, medical condition or learning need that may affect their participation or performance during the course and we will endeavour to make reasonable adjustments.

8.   Companies or Organisations booking onsite training must provide a suitable training room. The room must be able to accommodate all delegates, typically 10 – 12 people, with room to enable the practical aspects of the course, which involves lying and kneeling on the floor, to be practiced comfortably and adhering to current social distancing rules.

9.   All practical assessments and written exams (where applicable) must be passed before certification can be issued.  No refund will be issued if the candidate does not pass the course. No certification will be issued until all course fees are paid in full.

10.   In the event of any complaint, you are dissatisfied or have any concerns with any area of the course, we would like to hear from you. Please do so by emailing us at info@first2act.co.uk and allow 14 days for us to investigate any concerns you may have.
